The renovation is in full swing and we are slowly approaching the final phase where the Sport Café, the entrance, changing rooms 1-4 and the offices will be renovated. Unfortunately, this phase will also involve the necessary inconvenience and therefore in this news item follows some important points to keep in mind the coming time.

Closure of regular entrance and chaning rooms 1-4

The regular entrance to the sports center will be CLOSED starting Monday, April 15. This means that from then on you will have to enter the SSC on the North side, at Onze Lieve Vrouwestraat, see map to the right. At this entrance there will also be a pop-up information desk where you can scan your sports card and rent rackets etc.

The squash courts and Gymnasium will be accessible from April 15 via the emergency exit on the side of the hockey fields. Due to the renovation of the changing rooms on this side of the sports center, there are temporarily no changing rooms available here. For this reason, we ask everyone using the squash courts and Gymnasium to come to the Sports Center already dressed. Changing shoes is of course allowed. We would like to remind you that the facilities themselves may only be entered with clean indoor shoes.

Hall 1 will be accessible from April 15 through a new completed door in the hallway opposite Hall 2. Sportscard holders who have classes in the new Pole Dance Studio or Cycling Studio must also enter these areas through the bleachers in Hall 1. Participants of Spinning classes are asked to wait by the entrance of Hall 1 until the instructor picks them up, because of competitions taking place in Hall 1. Studio 2 will still be accessible through the Gym, participants should wait at the Gym entrance until the instructor picks them up.

The swimming pool will still be accessible via the emergency exit as it has been in recent weeks.

Bikes should be parked in the bike racks near the Dutmala Tunnel or in the bike racks on the Dutmala Trail. Bikes are not allowed to be parked near the new entrance to the sports center. Check the map for a clear indication of the routes.

Closure Pop-up Café and opening Tennis/Hockey Pavilion

Also, the Pop-up Café will close for good on Monday, April 15. From then on, the tennis/hockey pavilion will be used as a catering facility so you can come here for a drink or a snack. The tennis/hockey pavilion will be open at the following times:

Monday:           19h00 – 00h00
Tuesday:          19h00 – 00h00
Wedsnesday:   13h00 – 17h00 & 19h00 – 00h00
Thursday:         19h00 – 00h00
Friday:              18h30 – 00h00
Saturday:         8h45   – 13h30 (depending on league program)
Sunday:           Depending on league program

All this will be the situation at least until the end of June. We understand that this final phase will cause inconvenience and require significant adjustments and flexibility. However, after this period the biggest work will be done and we can enjoy a completely new SSC! Thank you for your understanding, patience and flexibility during this renovation.
